Product description
Striking Sterling Silver and Baltic Amber locket Pendant. The Pendant is egg shaped; shown with the locket front open. Front of the locket opens to show the Cameo and hollow compartment as big as the locket itself. It hinges open and snaps securely closed with a sterling clasp to hold it in place. Pendant's dimensions: 7/8 inch Long, 3/4 inch Wide and 3/4 in thickness.
The cameo is made from the back side of the amber slab (the top is perfectly smooth). A tiny drill is used to carve out the image by hand. One side of the amber is darker and as it is cut away the image is left in the lighter color. It takes an amazing craftsman to crate these beautiful pieces.
